Early on, I thought I would follow my father’s path into law—first as a lawyer, then with the idea of becoming a judge. My dad encouraged me to reconsider, and during my freshman year of high school, a TV production class changed everything. For the first time, I knew what I wanted to do: direct.

Sports were a major part of my upbringing. I briefly played quarterback as a freshman—largely because it was expected—before breaking my wrist and returning on defense as a middle linebacker. I attended three different high schools, and each move meant proving myself again, often at a physical disadvantage. My experience as a former quarterback gave me an edge: I learned to read the field, anticipate plays, and react quickly—skills that naturally translated into directing.

By my senior year, I stepped away from football to pursue what truly excited me. While attending Nova High School, there was no TV production program, but BEACON was nearby. I applied for an internship, was accepted, and that opportunity became my first real entry point into production. At BEACON and BTN (Broward Teen News), I learned to film, edit, and collaborate on real broadcasts. I helped countless students tell their stories—guiding filming, editing, and scriptwriting—while developing my own work. In recognition of that effort and growth, I received the Golden Microphone Award, an honor rarely given to interns, especially those with only a year of experience.

After high school, I attended Florida Atlantic University, where there wasn’t a film program at the time. I focused on theater to better understand actors and performance, later transferring to University of Central Florida. After my father passed away, I returned home to South Florida and completed my degree, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies: Arts & Humanities.

Following graduation, I continued studying performance by signing with Martin & Donalds Talent Agency and taking auditions—not to pursue acting as a career, but to understand the pressures actors face: memorizing sides, preparing monologues, and managing the audition room. I also trained at Timothy O’Keefe Actors Workshop.

I then built hands-on production experience, starting as a data wrangler at DLA and moving into set work as a Production Assistant at Brave Man Media. While working under a director there, I asked how one becomes a director. His answer was simple: “You just do it.” That mindset guided me as I stepped into cinematography and eventually directing.

I’ve worked on projects like Food Quest (with Robin Leach, later Mario Lopez, and co-hosted by model and actress Kim Alexis) and Make This Place Your Home, featuring Jackie Zeman and Jaime Laurita. Before directing, I was the cinematographer on these projects. To become the director, I stepped up to take on both roles—leading teams, coordinating freelance filmmakers, and eventually managing five editors and three cinematographers who looked to me for direction.

I’ve worked across multiple disciplines in production, giving me the versatility to contribute wherever a team needs me. I’ve been in production for over 15 years, starting on Sony PD150s back in my BTN days and now flying camera drones and working with high-end digital and cinema cameras. Over the years, I’ve learned that while the gear evolves, what really matters is the lens you choose and the story you’re capturing. My editing experience spans Sony Vegas, Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, and DaVinci Resolve (my favorite). For live production, I work with OBS, Blackmagic ATEM switchers, and Tricaster.

I’m open to directing, cinematography, live-stream, and other creative or technical roles in production, and also reachable at: LinkedIn.
